I wondered what the feeling of the majority of the residents was about the village centre being turned into an open air unlicensed public bar, with accompanying very loud music through an open doorway, a blocked pavement with an intimidating, noisy clientele until the early hours every week. Surely the law about about providing a smoking/drinking area does not include the street? Should representations be made to the council regarding these matters, as I find it impossible to even have a normal level of conversation in my own house, without this barrage of sound?
sewage works

i would like to ask if anything can be done about the smells coming from the sewage works. We have had to put up with this disgusting smell since thursday 2/7/09 it is now sunday evening we have had to go out for the day escape this inconvenience.It has never been this bad before,so does this mean we have to suffer every time the weather gets to hot. please can any thing be done.We had visitors on saturday afternoon and sitting out in the garden was most unpleasent. I pity any one trying to sell their house this week end any buyer would be put off just coming into the village.
